George E. Dussault, Jr., 54 of Oneida, NY, formerly of Athol, died Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at home.
He was born in Stoneham, MA on June 28, 1952, the son of George E. and Muriel L. Dussault, Sr.
George attended schools in Tewksbury, graduating High School in 1970. George joined the Coast Guard in 1972 becoming an E4 Telephone Technician stationed in Attu, Alaska for one year. After completing his Coast Guard duty, George returned home and obtained his pilots license, eventually developing a passion for parachuting. On his 45th birthday, George jumped forty-five times for a charity event at Orange Airport. He eventually owned and operated his own Log Cabin Homes business.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Veronica (Norwaki) Dussault; his son, Jeffrey G. Dussault of Gardner; his daughter, Jessica Giles of Gardner; his mother, Muriel L. Dussault of Athol; his sister, Donna Robertson and her husband Robert of Atkinson, NH; his brother, Robert Dussault and his wife Lisa and their children James and Madison of Warwick; and his nieces Alyssa Adams and Erica Kryzynski of Haverhill, MA.
He was predeceased by his father, George E. Dussault, Sr. in 1992.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. in the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main Street, Athol. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
The family suggests that donations may be made in his memory to the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 46, P.O. Box 746, Athol, MA 01331.
