FITCHBURG – George R. Frost, Sr., 65, of 81 Summit St., Fitchburg died Monday, May 07, 2012, in the Health Alliance Leominster Hospital.
He was born in Peterborough, NH on February 11, 1947 the son of the late George L. Frost and Desneige (Lafreniere) Frost.
He grew up in Greenville, NH and lived most of his adult life in Fitchburg. George worked for Fairlane in Lunenburg remodeling trailers. He was a truck driver for many years.
He enjoyed spending time with his son, son in-law and grandson watching and helping with their racing team. He loved his family and was proud of all his children.
He leaves his wife of 47 years, Laura M. “Dolly” (Berry) Frost; three daughters, Peggy Brehio and her husband Edward of Baldwinville, Franny Frost of Fitchburg, Linda Wilson and her husband Randy of Leominster; one son, George R. Frost, Jr. of Fitchburg; five sisters, Barbara Dowling of Leominster, Betty Miller of New Hampshire, Ida Clement of New Hampshire, Georgette Damren of New Hampshire, Theresa Rondeau of Northampton, MA; nine grandchildren, one great grandson, and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves Vaughn Dowling who was a very special nephew that was dear to his heart.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Laurie Frost who died in 1966.
A celebration of life will be held on May 26, 2012 at the British American Club 1 Simonds Street, Fitchburg From 1PM-5PM.
