George Hodgson,

PHILLIPSTON - George Hodgson, Jr., 80 of 120 State Road, Phillipston, died Thursday, February 15, 2007 in the Athol Memorial Hospital, Athol. He was born in Athol, on December 27, 1926, the son of the late George and the late Annie (Richton) Hodgson. He grew up in Royalston and graduated from Athol High School. He worked as a delivery person for Hood Milk Company for many years. He was a member of the Starrett Memorial United Methodist Church for 67 years. He was a member of the Star-Athol Lodge AF&AM, he was a member of the Athol Grange and the Singing Men of Athol. He was active at Camp Wiyaka and enjoyed square dancing and reading. He leaves his wife, Francese S. (Wilkey) Hodgson; a sister in-law, Mary Hodgson of Texas; two nieces, Lorelei Currier of Athol; Donna Guyer of Athol; and several great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, David Hodgson Funeral services will be held at Saturday, February 17, 2007 at 10:00 am in the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main Street, Athol. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday, February 16, 2007, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
