George T. Nelson

George T. Nelson Athol – George T. Nelson, 54, of 466 Main Street, died Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at his home after suddenly being stricken ill.      George was born in Malden, Massachusetts, May 31, 1959, the son of Leroy and Annie F. (Lundquist) Nelson.  He grew up in Malden and Lynn where he attended schools and lived for many years and for the past 10 years has resided in the Athol Orange area.        George worked in several factories and ware houses most of his life.  He enjoyed fishing, but most especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.        He leaves a daughter, Pamela Nelson-Page and her son Jesse J. LaMar, a son, Michael Nelson-Page and his daughter Evelyn Elizabeth King, all of Athol; step children, J. N. Winer of Worcester, Bradford Winer of New City, NY and Joyce Hall of Orange.  He also leaves 12 grandchildren, three brothers, Carl, Paul and David Nelson, and a sister, Faith Nelson, all of MA, his former wife, Marilyn Page Nelson of Athol and a niece and nephew.      At George’s request no funeral services are planned.  Higgins-O’Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main Street, Athol are directing arrangements.
