We gather today to celebrate the life of George Elwin Nelson, born on April 8, 1963, in Keene, NH. George was an adventurous soul, a man who knew no boundaries when it came to exploring life's wonders. His compassion for others mirrored the depths of the rivers he loved to fish, a hobby that gave him immense joy. His dedication was reflected in the care and love he showed towards his family, the center of his universe.
George was a loyal man, not only to his family but to his passions. A resident of Athol, Massachusetts, he spent countless hours on the golf courses, enjoying every swing and putt. His adventurous spirit took him on numerous camping trips, where he was happiest under the stars amidst the tranquil sounds of nature. In his journey through life, George's zest for adventure was only matched by his unwavering loyalty and dedication to his loved ones. As the poet Maya Angelou beautifully said, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." George's compassionate heart and warm spirit left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered.
George is survived by his daughter, Charlene Nelson and son-in-law, Christopher Szynal; son, Joe Nelson and daughter-in-law, Bre Smith; brother, Chris Nelson and sister-in-law, Anna Nelson; sister, Lisa Murray and brother-in-law, Richard; his domestic partner, Louwanna Newton; his many grandchildren; Robbie, Brendon, Rozlyn, lucas, Adriana ,Reese, Natalia ,Sierra . Nephews, Adam and Tim Hansen; niece, Sarah, Nicole, Katie, Christina. George was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia Town and George Nelson Sr.
