Georgette G. (Beaudoin) Dion

 LEOMINSTER----Georgette G. (Beaudoin) Dion, 92 of Leominster died peacefully on Sunday morning, January 29, 2012 in Health Alliance Leominster Hospital after a brief illness.  She was born June 10, 1919 in Montreal, Canada, the daughter of the late Zephirin Alfred Beaudoin and Jeanne (Allard) Beaudoin and came to the United States in 1932.  She leaves her daughter, Nancy L. Dion of Sterling, Virginia; three sons, James R. Dion of Boston, Peter B. Dion and his wife Rhonda and Paul G. Dion of Leominster;four grandchildren, Cynthia Cohen, Pamela Cohen, Elise Dion and Andre Dion. She also leaves her sister in law ;Sister Helene Dion of St. Hyacinthe, Quebec  and several nephews, nieces and cousins.  She was predeceased by her husband of 35 Years, Jean Paul Dion  died in 1981; two brothers Romeo Beaudoin and Lucien Beaudoin both of Montreal ;and two sisters, Cecile Beaudoin of Montreal and Gilberte M. “Betty” Allard of Leominster also predeceased her.  Georgette worked at the former Fitchburg Gas and Electric Co. before becoming a homemaker. She was a member of St Cecilia’s Church in Leominster and the Ladies of St Anne. She enjoyed reading, gardening, crossword puzzles,cards,knitting and traveling. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.  Georgette's funeral will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 from Simard Funeral Home 14 Walker St, Leominster with an 11am Mass of Christian Burial in St Cecilia’s Church 180 Mechanic St Leominster. Burial will follow in St Cecilia’s Cemetery, Leominster.  Calling hours in the funeral home are Saturday February 4, 2012 from 8:45am-10:45am.  Flowers may be sent or donations can be made to the St Cecilia’s Church Restoration Fund, 180 Mechanic St, Leominster MA 01453 and may be left at the funeral home.  Simard Funeral Home 14 Walker St Leominster directed arrangements.  $(document).ready(function(){ });
