Georgette J. Case

Georgette J. (Charest) Case, 74, Died Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Alliance Health at Baldwinville, after a long illness. 

Born in Gardner on December 30, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Lauretta (Miller) Charest. She graduated from Gardner High School.

Georgette worked for many years in the cafeteria at Heywood Hospital before leaving the workforce to raise her family. After her kids were older she went to work a Stop & Shop Supermarket in Gardner until her retirement.

She was dedicated warm person, especially to the ones she loved. She enjoyed going for walks, swimming, reading books, soap operas, and going to the movies. Georgette LOVED country music. She made many, many day trips to see her favorite acts.

She leaves her husband of 52 years Raymond P. Case of Gardner. One son, Jason Case and his wife Carrie-Anne of Ashburnham. One daughter Valerie Newman, and her husband Brian of Hubbardston. Three grandchildren, Owen, Rosalie, and Elena. She leaves a sister, Annette Bougeois and her husband Robert of Gardner, her brothers, Roger Charest and his wife Evelyn of Gardner, George Charest of Gardner, and Edward Charest of Gardner. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three sisters, Claire Beauregard, Shirley Henry, and Lorraine Charest,and one brother Norman Charest.

A Calling hour will be held from 10 am to 11am on Friday August 5, 2022 followed by a service at 11 am at Mack Family Funeral home in 105 Central Street Gardner.  Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations in Georgette's memory be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
