Georgia A Phillips

ATHOL- Georgia A. (Bowers) Phillips, 77, passed away, Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Quabbin Valley Healthcare. Georgia was born in Gardner, Massachusetts, March 20, 1944, the daughter of Elwin T. and Lillian M. (Chaisson) Bowers. She grew up and has lived in Athol all of her life, attending Athol High School. Georgia was a caregiver for many years, taking care of several disabled adults. She was a member of Our Lady Immaculate Church. She enjoyed arts and crafts, camping and traveling but most especially enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Hannah. She leaves a son, Wayne Phillips of Nashville, TN; two daughters, Ann Marie Emery and her husband Bruce of Athol, and Carrie Collins and her husband Ken of Athol; three grandchildren, Brian Emery, Kyle Emery, and Hannah Morton; two great grandchildren, Daniel and Gemini; several nieces and nephews; as well as her former husband, Michael Phillips of Orange. She was predeceased by two brothers, Louis Bowers and Ralph E. Bowers; a sister, Madeline Dresser; a son, David Phillips. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Road, Orange. A calling hour will be held prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Silver Lake Cemetery.
