Gerald F Castine

ATHOL-Gerald F. Castine, 74, died Monday, December 20, 2021 at Heywood Hospital, after an illness. He leaves his three sons, Darren Castine of Lafayette, CO, Cody Castine of Athol and Dakota Castine of Fitchburg; one brother, Fred Castine and his spouse Gary Partridge of Athol. Gerald was born in Winchendon on January 2, 1947 a son of the late Fredrick Wells and Shirley Alice (Suomala) Castine. He was a 1965 graduate of Athol High School. He served in the US Airforce serving in the Vietnam War. He owned and operated a Farrier business. Gerald enjoyed fishing, hunting, downhill skiing,and traveling the rodeo circuit. He especially loved muscle cars and going to the Adirondack Car show every year with his sons. His true passion was working on cars and heavy equipment. Gerald could fix anything and would help anyone who needed a hand. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Highland Cemetery, Hillside Terrace, Athol, MA.
