Dorchester-----Gerald Viens 71 of Arlington St Dorchester died Sunday September 4, 2011 at home after an illness. He was born January 12, 1940 IN Leominster MA the son of the late Harry T. Viens and Elizabeth (DuPuis) Viens. He leaves many nephews, nieces cousins and friends. His partner and best friend,Albert S. Cicoria died in March 2011,a brother Charles "Tommy" Viens died in 1980 and his sister Janet Bryce died in 1991. Gerry worked for many years as an Assistant Broker at Brown Brothers Harriman in Boston. He enjoyed traveling and was an avid e-bay seller and buyer of many items. The funeral will be held on Thursday September 8,2011 from Simard Funeral Home 14 Walker St Leominster with an 11am Mass of Christian Burial in St Cecilia's Church 180 Mechanic St Leominster. Burial will follow in St Cecilia's Cemetery Leominster. Calling Hours in the funeral home are Thursday morning September 8,2011 are from 9:45am-10:45am.
