BALDWINVILLE - Gladys P. (Cwartkowski) Kowlzan, 86 of 27 Fessenden Street, Baldwinville, died Saturday, June 12, 2010 in the Heywood Hospital, Gardner. She was born in Baldwinville, on January 15, 1924, the daughter of the late John Cwartkowski and the late Mary (Dlugkanska) (Cwartkowski) Kalinowski. Gladys grew up in Baldwinville and graduated from Templeton High School with the class of 1942. She worked at the Florence Stove Company, Erving Paper Mill and Baldwinville Products. She retired to care for her grandchildren. She was a communicant of St. Vincent De Paul Church. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed quilting and ceramics. She leaves her husband, Edward F. Kowlzan; three daughters, Diane Mary Moulton of Baldwinville, Deborah Ann Koziol and her husband Bruce of Baldwinville, Nancy Jean Lucarelli and her husband Keith of Winchendon; one son, Christopher John Kowlzan and his wife Karen of Winchendon; her twin brother, Walter P. Cwartkowski of Baldwinville; ten grandchildren, Philip E. Moulton; Craig A. Moulton; John E. Manca; Joshua J. Koziol; Rebecca A. Mexico; Zachery E. Koziol; Peter A. Manca; Seth J. Koziol; Felisha A. LeBlanc; Jordan Howard; twelve great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Victor Cwartkowski, Stanley Cwartkowski, and Jack Cwartkowski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 10:00 am in St. Vincent De Paul, 1 Forest St., Baldwinville. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, June 15, 2010, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Poliks Funeral Home 431 Pleasant St., Gardner. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Baldwinville Nursing Home - Activity Fund, 51 Hospital Road, Baldwinville, MA 01436.
