Gloria L. Brennan

ATHOL - Gloria L. (Hickey) Brennan, 88, of 365 Radcliff St., Athol, died Wednesday, September 16, 2009 in the Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol, after a brief illness She was born in Fitchburg on October 29, 1920, the daughter of the late Walter J. and the late Maude (Fielding) Hickey. She grew up in Athol and worked at her family's restaurant, "Hickey's Diner" in Athol for many years. She was a member of Golden Agers Club and Catholic Women's League. She leaves one sister, Barbara Phelps of Athol, one brother, Walter W. Hickey of Athol, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, James J. Brennan, in 1983. Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Highland Cemetery, Athol. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Our Lady Immaculate Church - Building Fund, 192 School St., Athol, MA 01331. $(document).ready(function(){ });
