Gloria Louise (Morroni) Desharnais, 87, of Leominster and Hollywood, Florida, died December 16, 2008, in the Keystone Center Leominster, after an illness.
She was born July 20, 1921, in Leominster, MA, the daughter of the late Charles Morroni and Ermlinda (Galloto) Morroni, and lived in Leominster until 1972, when she moved to Hollywood, Florida.
She leaves (2) daughters, Pamela Owen and husband, Dennis of Leominster, and Linda and husband, Stewart Ahearn of Florida and Vermont; (5) grandchildren; (8) great-grandchildren. She also leaves many nephews and nieces.
Her husband of (67) years, George W. Desharnais died in April of 2007, a son, Dennis Desharnais of Leominster died in 1968, (4) sisters, Celia Valeri, Nancy Sands, Rose Lanza and Mary Balboni predeceased her, and a brother, Peter Morroni of Leominster died in 2006.
Mrs. Desharnais along with her husband owned and operated Pam Plastic Company in Leominster, MA for (20) years before retiring to Hollywood, Florida in 1972. She was an avid Red Sox Fan, and enjoyed playing BINGO and Cards. While living in Hollywood,FL she was active in Holy Nazareth Church.
A graveside service for Gloria and her husband George will be held at a date and time to be announced in St Leo's Cemetery, Leominster, MA.
