Gloria O. Gaillardet

LEOMINSTER -- Gloria O. (Robichaud) Gaillardet, 83, formerly of 17 South St., Leominster, died Thursday, January 28, 2010, in the Lifecare of Leominster, after an illness. She was born in Leominster, on July 30, 1926, the daughter of the late William and the late Delina (Cormier) Robichaud, and was a lifelong Leominster resident. She leaves her son, William P. Gaillardet of Fitchburg; three daughters, Sheryl Gaillardet of Durham, NC, Jean Gaillardet of Naples, FL, Joan Dantini of Amherst, NH; two sisters, Jennine Ruth of Ohio, Wilma Zambrano of Texas; six grandchildren, Jennifer O'Toole of New Hampshire, Megan Steiner of South Carolina, Jason Wright of Indiana, Alex Pokki and Eric Pokki, both of North Carolina; two great-grandchildren, Parker Ryan O'Toole of New Hampshire, and Jacob Wright of Indiana; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Robert P. Gaillardet, who died in 1995, and her daughter, Barbara Wright of Indiana who died in 2007. Mrs. Gaillardet was a member of St. Leo's Church in Leominster. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and baking. She worked alongside her mother in the family business, Robichaud Jewelry Store, for many years, and was very active with the USS Boston Retirees. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 10:00 am in St. Leo's Church, 128 Main St., Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Monday, February 1, 2010 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster.
