Gordon R Martin

ORANGE- Gordon R. Martin, Jr, 78, of Orange, passed away Monday, October 25, 2021 at Quabbin Valley Healthcare in Athol. Gordon was born in Gardner on August 21, 1943, son of the late Gordan R. Martin, Sr. and Viola (Bigos) Martin. He attended Mahar Regional High School. He was a skilled laborer with DCR Quabbin for 40 years. He owned several racehorses and raced at the Hinsdale Race track in the 60’s and 70’s He also cared for other people’s racehorses at his stable in Orange. He loved antique automobiles, especially the Corvair, Edsel and El Camino. His hobbies included model railroading and researching WWII history. He is survived by his friends, Donald Guidette of Winchester, NH and David Small. Gordon’s services will be private.
