Gwendolyn Ruth Kelton

ATHOL - Gwendolyn Ruth Kelton, age 76, of Athol died Monday, June 6, 2016 at home in Athol. Mrs. Kelton was born January 30, 1940 in Claypool, IN. She is the daughter of the late Ervin and the late Sara (Benner) Moore. She grew up in Indiana graduating from Bourbon High School in Bourbon, IN. She entered the U.S. Army Women's Corp in 1959 until 1962. She traveled to many areas while in the Army and after her marriage in 1964 to Earl R. Kelton who served in the Army for 29 years, they traveled to many places living in Colorado, Germany, Alabama, New Jersey, New York, Kansas, Arizona, Greenfield, MA and since 2006 has resided in Athol. She is survived by one daughter: Ryanne Kelton and her partner J. B. Gordon of Athol; and one son: Earl W. Kelton and his wife Carolina; two brothers: Larry Moore and his wife Helen of Columbia City, IN, Glen Moore and his wife Bernetta of Bourbon, IN; She also has four grandchildren, Shannon Holloman and her husband Evan, Charles Kelton, Samuel Qualters, and Andrew Thomas; one great granddaughter, Emily Ragland; one great grandson, Tyler Holloman; and one sister-in-law, Phyllis Wallwork. She is predeceased by her husband Earl R. Kelton, and her brothers Aden and Lowell Moore, and sister-in law- Connie Qualters. Funeral services will be private.
