GREENFIELD — Harold E. “Tiger” Parker III, 50, of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, Oct. 18, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield after a year-long battle with lung cancer. Born May 7, 1962, in Athol, Tiger grew up in Caribou, Maine, and served in the United States Army. Tiger was a skilled and generous mechanic. He worked for many years at Newcomb Motors in Orange and was always donating his time to help a friend or family member in need. He enjoyed playing chess and traveling. He especially loved visiting Clearwater, Fla. Tiger was an avid musician and could always be found strumming a guitar, playing the drums or tapping away on a table or his steering wheel. He played in many bands and released four albums, most recently as the drummer of Evenspeak. He considered his bandmates to be like family. He is survived by his wife Cynthia Thomas, of Greenfield; his parents Harold Parker Jr., and Laura O. Parker, of Manchester, N.H.; his grandmother Thelma Parker, of Hinsdale, N.H.; his daughter Shannon St. Hilaire, of Orange; his daughter Mandy Bereiter and her husband Moses Bereiter, of Raymond, N.H.; his daughter Cassandra Parker, of Greenfield; his stepdaughter Amanda Lohnes and her husband Justin Powell, of Marlborough; his stepdaughter Samantha Lohnes and her fiancee Kevin Choquette, of Athol; his brother Scott Parker and his wife Lisa Parker, of Winchester, N.H.; his sister Thelma “Twink” Duquette, of Manchester, N.H.; his six grandchildren; his former spouse Tammy (Wilcox) Bourdages; and many loved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. A memorial service and celebration of Tiger’s life will be held Saturday, Nov. 3, from 3 to 10 p.m. at the American Legion Post 102, at 352 Pequoig Ave. in Athol. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tiger’s memory to the National Lung Cancer Partnership, 1 Point Place, Suite 200, Madison, WI  53719.
