ATHOL- Harry C. Miller, 67, died peacefully on his boat at lower Naukeag Lake in Ashburnham on Friday, August 10th.
Harry was the son of the late Kenneth and Ruth (Barnes) Miller. He was born and raised in Athol, graduating from Athol High School in 1968. While he was in high school, he was a member of the 1967-1968 Worcester County All-Star football team. He attended Mount Wachusett Community College after High School. Harry was an electrician by trade, and was employed by the Starrett Tool Company for 38 years as an electrician.
He was a member of the Elks, and the Petersham Gun Club. He enjoyed boating, hunting for turkeys, deer, and bear. He was a great storyteller and historian.
He leaves behind three sisters: Sandra and her husband Alan Hoye, of Merrimack N.H., Nancy and her husband Bill Hannon, of Jefferson, Vermont, Debbie Miller, of Athol;
one niece, Sarah Hoye; two nephews: Jeff Hoye and Jesse Hannon; and many, many close friends.
The family of Harry will be having a celebration of life, on Wednesday, August 15th, from 11-12 pm , at the Fiske Murphy Mack Funeral Home,110 new Athol Road, Orange with a fellowship to follow in the community room.
