ATHOL - Helen L. (Risatti) Beasley, 86 of 121 Marble St., Athol, died Sunday, September 2, 2007 at home.
She was born in Orange, on October 9, 1920, the daughter of the late Tilio and the late Benvenuta (Colo) Risatti.
Mrs. Beasley worked at Fishman´s Department Store, Cass Toy Factory, Union Twist Drill, the Orange Shoe Shop and the L.S. Starrett Company.
She was a communicant of Our Lady Immaculate Church and was a previous member of the Daughters of Isabella.
Helen enjoyed Bingo, Whist, playing softball, playing checkers with her son and also playing Scat. She loved the Boston Red Sox for many years.
She leaves two daughters, Judy Bowen of Florida, Mary Beasley of Athol and two sons, Robert Beasley of Athol, Russell Beasley, Jr. of Florida; one sister, Viola Popke of New London, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Lynn Beasley of Georgia and Michelle Lewis of South Deerfield; several nieces and nephews and a great niece, Dr. Cheryl Nygard.
She was predeceased by her husband Russell Beasley, Sr. who died in 1991 by three sisters, Mary Pierce, Sylvia Demaris and Amelia Karpowich, by two brothers, Leno Risatti and Rico Risatti, and by a grandson Craig Beasley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 11:00 am in Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the J. Edward Murphy Funeral Home 137 Main St., Athol.
