Helen M. Brown

PETERSHAM - Helen Marcia Brown, beloved aunt, died peacefully at age 88 on Saturday, January 26, 2008, at Baldwinville Nursing Home in Templeton. Ms. Brown, the daughter of Estelle (Zientara) and Franczek Mrozek, was born on January 10, 1920 in Jersey City, New Jersey. She spent most of her life in Perth Amboy, Edison, and Avon-by-the Sea, New Jersey, and in later years lived in Athol, Orange, and Petersham. Ms. Brown worked as a bookkeeper for most of her career. Ms. Brown was very spirited and generous of heart and devoted much of herself to caring for family members, especially during their times of need. She was particularly attentive to her sister, Florentine Maglione, who endured a prolonged illness. Ms. Brown also enjoyed sharing in the milestones of her loved ones' lives and always took the time to recognize special occasions with phone calls, cards, and celebrations. She was predeceased by all five of her siblings, a nephew and a niece. Ms. Brown is survived by her niece, Marcia Maglione Flynn and grandnephew, Declan Francis Flynn, of Petersham, and a nephew, Marc Francis Maglione and his wife, Linda, of Jackson, New Jersey. Graveside services will be held in the West Road Cemetery, Petersham, on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 10 a.m. There are no calling hours.
