Helen J. (Dokurno) Rolf

GARDNER – Helen J. (Dokurno) Rolf, 86, died March 18 at Wachusett Manor Nursing Home after a long illness.  She was born in Gardner July 6, 1928, the daughter of Sarafina and Leon Dokurno and lived in Gardner the majority of her life.  There she raised her two children, was a homemaker and a caregiver to her parents. She leaves her son, James Rolf of Phillipston, her daughter, Judith Martin of Harrisville, NH:  three grandchildren, Bennett Rolf of Orange, Bradley Rolf of Gardner, and Marieke Martin of Manchester NH: two great grandchildren, Tyler Rolf and Victoria Axelson-Rolf; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her long-time companion, Chester Czaplinski; brothers, Chester, Bronislaw, and Anthony Dokurno; and a sister, Jenny Wolanski. Calling hours will be from 9:00-10:00am at Poliks Funeral Home, 431 Pleasant St., Gardner on Saturday March 21, 2015 with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s Church at 10:30am.  Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date.
