Helen B. Gronowicz

GARDNER - Helen B. (Kosiewski) Gronowicz, 89 of 64 Ken Drive died Friday, April 5, 2013 at home. She was born on December 12, 1923 in Clinton the daughter of all the late Boleslaw and Mary Ann (Wnuk) Kosiewski. She attended Jasna Gora Catholic School in Clinton. Helen worked at Simplex Time Recorder for many years.  She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality. She was a member of the Polish American Veterans Auxiliary.   Helen enjoyed to travel, she went to Hawaii and to the World's Fair in Florida. She leaves a daughter, Patricia M. Tompkins of Presque Isle, ME; a son, Michael J. Gronowicz of Gardner; a sister, Gladys Novick of Clinton; two grandchildren Emily Elie of Merrimack, MA, Hillary Tompkins-Hickey of Northhampton, MA; two great grandchildren, James Elie, Madison Hickey and two special great nephews, George and Alex Matuszewski of Templeton. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Rudolph Gronowicz who died in 2009 and by three sisters, Bertha Roncone, Regina Schreiner, Sophie Kosiewski and by six brothers, Sylvester Kosiewski, Frank Kosiewski, Stanley Kosiewski, William Kosiewski, Peter Kosiewski and Victor Kosiewski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 10 AM in St. Josephs Church 358 Pleasant St., Gardner. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery Gardner. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM at the Poliks Funeral Home 431 Pleasant St., Gardner.
