BALDWINVILLE - Helen A. (Pszczolkowski) Miganowicz, 82, of 13 Beech Street, Baldwinville, died on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at her son's home in Royalston after an illness.
Helen was born in Gardner on December 10, 1928, the daughter of the late Chester and the late Josephine (Skrowonski) Pszczolkowski. She grew up in Gardner and graduated from Gardner High School. She attended the school of the Worcester Art Museum and was a Title 1 reading aide for Narragansett Regional High School. Mrs. Miganowicz taught adult education oil painting lessons at night. She was well known as an artist in the Gardner area. Helen was a communicant of St. Vincent de Pail Church and a member of the Greater Gardner Art Association.
She leaves two daughters, Julie A. Miganowicz of Baldwinville, Christine A. Lajoie of Fitchburg; one son, Chester J. "Chet" Miganowicz of Royalston; one sister, Pola Yackowski of Baldwinville; one brother, Walter Pszczolkowski of Gardner; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Vincent De Paul, 1 Forest St., Baldwinville. Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Gardner, will be at a later date.
A calling hour will be held Thursday, October 20, 2011 from 9:15 - 10:15 a.m. at the Poliks Funeral Home, 431 Pleasant Street, Gardner.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Attn: Contribution Services, Brookline, MA 02445-7226 or to the Gardner Visiting Nursing Association, 34 Pearly Lane, Gardner MA 01440.
