ATHOL- Helen J. "Tootie" (VanTassell) Winn, 71, of Athol, died Wednesday, April 13, in Quabbin Valley Healthcare, after an illness.
She was born February 21, 1945, in Westford, daughter of the late Roger and Helen (Wilson) VanTassell. She previously owned the Royalston Country Store. She also worked as a pharmacy technician for Ray's Pharmacy and Bruce's. She enjoyed traveling with her husband.
She leaves her husband of 22 years, Charles Winn; six children, John Casavecchia and his wife, Diane of Riverside, RI, Paula Amadon and her husband, Scott of Royalston, Duane Casavecchia and his wife Laurie of Athol, Amanda Barry and her husband, Mark of South Dennis, Lisa Winn of Gardner, and David Winn of Jacksonville, FL; six grandchildren, Amber, Timmy, Daniel, Arianna, Karis, and Jordan; 2 great grandchildren; five brothers; one sister; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are private under the direction of Higgins-O'Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main St., Athol.
