LEOMINSTER- Helena M. (Bastarache) Bellefeuille, 71, of Leominster, died Thursday, January 14, at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, after an illness.
She was born May 30, 1944, in St. Damien, New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of the late Ambroise and Helene (LeBlanc) Bastarache. She attended grammar school in St. Damien, New Brunswick and graduated from high school in St. Antoine, New Brunswick.
Helena was a seamstress at Cluett and Peabody where she met her husband, Denis Bellefeuille. She also worked at Market Basket for many years. Helena enjoyed listening to country music, especially Dwight Yoakam, George Jones, and Hank Williams. She also enjoyed watching classic television and going to Foxwoods.
She leaves her son, Mark R. Bellefeuille of Leominster; two daughters, Donna D. Bellefeuille of Leominster, and Debbie D. Wisuri and her husband, Ian C. Wisuri, of Worcester; three grandchildren, Ivan, Simone, and Joseph Wisuri; two brothers, Zephyr Bastarache of Riverview, NB, and Hubert Bastarache of Fitchburg; three sisters, Diane Johnson and her husband, Elmer Johnson of Rexton, NB, Rosella Maillet of St. John, NB, and Dorilla Bastarache of Gardner; many nieces and nephews, including her niece and Goddaughter, Lindsay Bolduc of Gardner.
She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Denis Bellefeuille, her brother, Fidele Bastarache, and her sister, Leona Bastarache.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 18, at 10:00 A.M. in St. Cecilia’s Church, 180 Mechanic St., Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia’s Cemetery.
There are no calling hours.
