LEOMINSTER- Henry Consalvo, 91, of Leominster, died Tuesday, January 3, in his daughter, Lorraine's home, after an illness.
Henry was bon June 3, 1925, in Leominster, son of the late Antonio and Gema (Barassi) Consalvo. He served in the United States Army During WWII earning the European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, and the Victory Medal.He retired from Union Products in the early 1980's. Henry enjoyed spending time at Summit Elder Care in Leominster.
He enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards, dining out, vegetable gardening, wine making. But his greatest treasures are his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Henry will be remembered as a perfect gentleman.
His wife, Evelyn Consalvo, died in 2012. He was also predeceased by a son, Raymond Consalvo in 1981, a daughter, Patricia Brown in 2009, five brothers, Levi, Edward, Daniel, Albert, and Guido Consalvo, and four sisters, Gilda Mella, Dora Cucchiara, Eva Ciccolini, and Rena Mazzaferro.
Henry, with his first wife, the late Evelyn (LeBlanc) Consalvo, leaves three sons, Kenneth Consalvo and his wife, Deborah of Fitchburg, Paul Consalvo and his wife, Paula of Ashburnham, and Ronald Consalvo of SC; four daughters, Lorraine Cote of Leominster, Denise DeFelice and her husband, James of Sarasota, FL, Elaine Carrol and her husband, Richard of Leominster, and Michelle Lemay of Lunenburg; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two stepchildren, Rodney Bergeron of Leominster, and Debra Bergoeron Cannavino and her husband, Peter of Fitchburg; many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Friday, January 6, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. in Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster.
The funeral Mass will be held Saturday, January 7, at 11:00 A.M. in St. Anna's Church, 194 Lancaster St., Leominster.
