GARDNER- Herve L. Roy 88, of 18 Parker Hill Rd., Gardner died Friday, April 29, 2016.
He was born June 23, 1927 in Gardner the son of Joseph and Claudia (Giguere) Roy.
He lived most of his life in Gardner. He went to Holy Rosary School and attended Gardner High School before leaving to join the Navy during World War II. He served in the Quiglia Island in the South Pacific and received the Asiatic Pacific theater metal and the World War II Victory Medal.
He worked at the former O. W. Siebert Company and was plant manager for U.S. Packaging. He was a long time employee of the Mack Funeral Home.
He was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Otter River Council -Bishop Bevan Assembly and a member of the AARP.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret (Rossi) Roy his daughter Deborah Luppi and her husband Dr. Lawrence Luppi of Scituate,Rhode Island; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four sisters, Bertha Mailloux, Lillian Beaudoin, Bella Leblanc and Doris Howard and by three brothers Joseph Roy, Donat Roy and Leo Roy.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 11 AM in Holy Spirit Church 50 Lovewell Street Gardner. Burial will follow in St Johns Cemetery Gardner
A calling hour will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 930 – 10:30 AM at the Mack Funeral Home 91 Vernon St. Gardner.
In lieu of flowers a family suggest memorial contributions be made in his memory to Saint Jude Children's Hospital Tribute Program, PO Box 1000, Department 142,Memphis, TN 38148.
