Irene B. Hebert

Ashburnham, MA -Irene B. Hebert, 91 of 20 Holden Street died Friday, February 1, 2008 in the Leo P. LaChance Center following an illness. She was born in Fitchburg on November 10, 1916 the daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Rosbury) Hebert. She was a lifelong resident of Ashburnham. Irene worked as a Nurse's Aide at the former Collins Nursing Home. She also did domestic work for many families. She was a former member of the V.F.W. #5509, a communicant of St. Denis Church and she loved taking care of her family. Her nieces and nephews were very special to her. Gardening, cooking, knitting, and arts and crafts were her enjoyable pastimes. She leaves a son, Francis A. Hebert of Ashburnham; a brother Raymond C. Hebert of Ashburnham; a sister, Dorothy A. Bresnahan of Ashburnham, six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Agnes Cole who died in 1996 and by three brothers, Donald Hebert who died 1943, Bern Hebert who died in 1969, and Levi (Pete) R. Hebert who died in 1981. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 from the John H. Mack Funeral Home, 91 Vernon Street, Gardner followed by an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Denis Church, 85 Main Street, Ashburnham. Burial will be in Meetinghouse Hill Cemetery in the spring. Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 4, 2008 from 6- 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
