LEOMINSTER - Irene Marie (LeBlanc) Connors, age 100, of Leominster went to the Lord with her nieces and nephew at her bedside, after a short illness on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at UMass Memorial of Worcester, MA.
She was born July 25, 1912 in Fitchburg, the daughter of the late Jean H. and the late Delphine (Robichaud) LeBlanc.
She was a communicant of St. Leo's Parish. She was a member of the Leominster Senior Center and the Golden Ages. She worked at Foster Grant Company for 25 years and retired in 1977.
Irene enjoyed music, dancing, bingo, and traveling to Foxwoods with her nephew. She also enjoyed the company of Alfred Martin.
She will be sadly missed by her caregivers, nieces, Joyce Gosselin, Cynthia Hudson, Lorna Chabot, Brenda Saucier and nephew Kenneth Saucier. She leaves many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Irene was predeceased by her husband, Francis "Red" Connors, eight sisters, "The LeBlanc Girls"; Yvonne Saucier, Edith Roberge, Rose Remal, Dora Franciosi, Evangeline Saucier, Jeanne Saucier, Lena LeBlanc and Leonie LeBlanc.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Friday, March 22 at St. Leo's Church, 108 Main Street, Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Fitchburg.
Calling hours will be Thursday, March 21 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker Street, Leominster.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to St. Leo’s Parish – Building Fund, 108 Main St., Leominster, MA 01453 or to a charity of one’s choice.
