Irene H. Mundell

GARDNER - Irene H. (Blake) Mundell, 68 of 51 Hospital Rd., Gardner, died Monday, May 26, 2008 in the loving care of Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner. She was born in Winchendon, on April 10, 1940, the daughter of the late Charles and the late Helen (Bosworth) Blake. She was the fourth of nine children. She worked at the form Fleetwood Nursing Home for many years. In her latter years Irene lived a quiet life and enjoyed many activities. She really enjoyed spending time over the holidays with her daughter Debbie and grandsons Zack, Ryan and Brandon. She will be very missed. She was predeceased by her brothers Roger Blake and Robert Blake. She is survived by her sisters June Gonzales, Ella Blake, Mildred Massengall and her brothers Carl Blake, Charles Blake and Dennis Blake. Irene is also survived by her eleven children: Denise Mundell of Leominster, Carl Mundell and Tammy Johnson of Gardner, Helen Beaulieu of Maine, Harry Mundell Jr. of Greenfield, Tina Smith of Orange, Debbie Mundell of Phoenix, Arizona, Dennis Mundell of Henderson, TN, Bobby Cook, Troy Mundell Berry and Charles Mundell of Athol. Irene has many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her special friend Judy Cooper was with Irene in her declining years and got to now her like very few did. They shared many smiles and she was a blessing to Irene. Irene's "Second Family" were the nurses and staff of Wachusett Manor who cared for her like she was one of their own. They know who they are and she loved them all. Funeral services and burial will be private. No calling hours are scheduled.
