FITCHBURG-Jack Malucky, 90, of Fitchburg, formerly of Norwalk, Connecticut, died Thursday, August 10, at Heywood Hospital, after an illness.
Jack was born May 28, 1927, in Norwalk, CT, son of the late Phillip and Marie (Day) Malucky. He was a loving father and grandfather and his grandchildren were the lights of his life. His true love was his wife of 59 years, Ellie. He was devoted to her even after her passing July 31, 2011. He will be remembered by his family and friends as sentimental, loving, and his great sense of humor. He was the family patriarch and enjoyed music, writing poetry, traveling with his wife, and cooking. Jack took great pleasure in skeet shooting and was inducted into the Connecticut State Skeet Shooting Hall of Fame.
He worked as a supervisor for the Connecticut State Highway Department for twenty-six years before his retirement.
He leaves his son, John D. Malucky and his wife, Joanne, of Batavia, OH; his daughter, Kathie A. Huhtala and her husband, David of Phillipston; four grandchildren, Abby Huhtala and her fiance, Gabe, Alli Huhtala, Leeann Malucky, and Taylor Malucky.
Funeral services are private under the direction of Lamoureux-Smith & Poliks Funeral Home, a Mack Family Funeral Home, 105 Central St., Gardner.
