Jacqueline Prado

LEOMINSTER - Jacqueline Prado, age 83, of Leominster died Friday, December 23, 2016 at UMass Memorial Medical Center. She was born August 17, 1933 in Leominster. She is the daughter of the late Roger and the late Yvette (Dufresne) Desharnais. Jackie grew up in Leominster and graduated from Leominster High School and Becker Junior College. She was employed as a secretary for 3 years at Selig, a bookkeeper for Clear Shield and for many years she worked as a bookkeeper at Walton's Auto Supply until her retirement. After retirement, she wintered in Florida. She loved bowling, was outgoing and enjoyed people. She is survived by her husband of 63 years: Raymond Prado, one daughter: Darlene Merrill and husband Lee of Leominster, one son: Kevin Prado of Leominster; and two nephews, Chris and Alfred Desharnais . She is predeceased by her Brother, Henry Desharnais. The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, December 31 at Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker Street, Leominster, with Fr. Jose Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours will be Saturday, December 31 from 10:00- 11:00am at the funeral home.
