LEOMINSTER - James G. Kissane, 62 of Leominster, died Friday, May 6, 2022 in the Health Alliance Leominster Campus, Leominster, MA.
He was born in Boston, MA, on August 22, 1959, the son of the late Michael and the late Maureen (Crowley) Kissane.
James graduated from Matignon High School in Cambridge, MA. He went on to work for the 99 Restaurants for 30+ years where he made lifelong friendships. Later in his life he was a self-employed medical courier. Jim was very proud of his family and his Irish heritage. People close to him knew him for his “Irish charm," he had more stories than a public library. His heart was always filled with love when spending time in Phippsburg, Maine with his grandchildren and large family.
He leaves his wife of 6 years, Nicole Kissane; and his children James Kissane and his girlfriend Stephanie Lopez of Upton, MA, Marianne Kissane-Fichter and her husband George of Baldwinville, MA, Daniel Kissane and his wife Heidi of West Greenwich, RI, and two step-daughters Shauna Lapoint and her boyfriend Derek Morley of Brooklyn NY, and Jessica Rafferty and her husband Jack of Princeton MA; his siblings, Marie Keane of Ireland, Tricia Favreau and her husband Louis of Acton, and Michael Kissane and his wife Vanessa of Raynham, MA; nine grandchildren, Zachary, Makayla, Juliana, Chloe, Emaline, Ava, Elliot, Elias, Jed; and many beloved family, friends, and his cat Kevin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 11:00 am in St. Cecilia's Church, 180 Mechanic Street, Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Leo's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster.
