James A. Rush

James A. Rush Ashby – James A. Rush, 59, of 67 Luke Road died Sunday, April 10, 2011, at his home.      He was born August 4, 1951 in Brattleboro, Vermont, the son of Francis and Barbara (Carey) Rush.  He grew up in Orange where he lived for many years, later moving to Whitinsville and for the last several years has resided in Ashby.        James worked for Rodney Hunt Company in Orange for several years and for the Shop at Whitinsville for 15 years and most recently did many construction projects in the area.  He loved to fish, enjoyed camping and all types of food.       He leaves his wife, Sharon A. (Barton) Rush of Athol; two sons, Joshua W. Barton and Joseph A. Barton, both of Athol; a daughter Sarah L. Rush of Athol; two grandchildren, Kolby S. Jimenez and McKenzie E. Barton; a brother, William Rush of Florida and a sister, Nancy Carey of Turners Falls.  He was predeceased by a sister, Sandra Fournier.      A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 1:00 P.M.  at South Cemetery in Orange.    Higgins-O’Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main Street, Athol is directing arrangements.  For further information or to share a memory with the family go to:  www.higginsoconnorfuneralhome.com. $(document).ready(function(){ });
