LEOMINSTER - James E. Williams, 68 of 90 Middle St., Leominster, died Saturday, July 21, 2007 in the Leominster Hospital, Leominster. He was born in Leominster, on January 29, 1939, the son of the late Ernest and the late Victoria (Surrette) Williams. He grew up in Leominster and was educated in Leominster. He was a veteran of the United States Airforce. Mr. Williams was employed as a truck driver for many years for Apollo Motor Express previously he worked for RVJ in Leominster. He enjoyed fishing, old cars and camping. He leaves his wife of 44 years, Donna L. (Svenberg) Williams; two daughters, Maryellen Gendron and her husband David of Leominster, Karen Chiurri and her husband Chris of Leominster; three sons, James Williams, Jr. and his wife Margaret of Bristol, PA, Richard Williams and his wife Linda of Leominster, Keith Williams of Leominster; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Williams, and by two sisters, Joanne Reed, and Eunice Gordon. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at 10:00 am in the M.A. Simard & Son Funeral Home, 14 Walker Street, Leominster. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours will be held Monday, July 23, 2007, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to American Cancer Society´s, New England Division Office, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
