James M. Wojdak

GARDNER - James Wojdak, born on March 19, 1947, in Gardner, MA, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2023. A proud native of Gardner, James was a creative and dedicated man who spent many years as a Field Service Manager for Digital Equipment Corporation. His intelligence shone through in his work, illustrating his deep understanding of the complexities of the computer industry. He was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the U.S. Army, and was a respected member of the Gardner V.F.W. His adventurous spirit led him to explore the world, yet he always returned to his beloved hometown.

James never married, but his life was full of rich relationships and experiences. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, and he delighted in feeding the squirrels in Crystal Lake Park. He was a graduate of Gardner High School and received his Associates Degree from Mount Wachusett Community College, demonstrating his dedication and keen intellect. His adventurous spirit was evident in his travels around the globe. James was the beloved brother of Robert and his wife Sharon, Richard and his wife Kathy, John Wojdak, and Janet Himmer and her companion Tom. He leaves his fiance, Rita Csaplik and several nieces and nephews.

James was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Mabel Wojdak. 

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from 10:30 - 11:30 am at Mack Family Funeral Homes located at 105 Central Street, Gardner, Massachusetts, 01440. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 am at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon.
