LEOMINSTER - Jane P. (DeLisle) Erickson, 91 of 87 Carriage Court, Leominster, and formerly of Ashburnham passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024.
Jane was born at the former Lucy Helen Hospital in Fitchburg on February 5, 1933, the daughter of the late Aime and the late Louise (Rufiange) DeLisle. She was raised in Ashburnham and graduated from Cushing Academy with the class of 1951. She was a resident of Ashburnham for over sixty-five years. Mrs. Erickson worked as an Administrative Assistant to the Headmaster of Cushing Academy for thirty-eight years until her retirement in 1995. She was a communicant of St. Denis Church in Ashburnham and a member of the Former Retired Women's Club of
Fitchburg, Friends of the Fitchburg Senior Center, and AARP. In her younger years, she enjoyed horseback riding and caring for her horses. More recently, Jane enjoyed playing cards, cooking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandson.
She leaves one son, Donald P. Erickson, and his wife Colleen of Amherst; a grandson, Connor G. Erickson of Amherst; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of forty years: Gordon E. Erickson on September 13, 1992; by her brothers: Francis DeLisle, Maurice DeLisle, and Andrew DeLisle; by her sisters: Cecile Rosbury, Lillian Pouliot, Eva Roy, Lucy Fontaine, Jeanette LeBlanc, Alice Rawlins, and Denise Revell.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Mack Funeral Home, 105 Central Street, Gardner, MA 01440
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Denis Church, 85 Main Street, Ashburnham. Burial will follow in St. Denis Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made in her memory to the Gordon Erickson Fire Rescue Fund c/o Ashburnham Fire Department, 99 Central St., Ashburnham, MA 01430, or to St. Denis Church, P.O. Box 418, Ashburnham, MA 01430.
