TEMPLETON - Jane M (Yackowski) Lis, 92 of 14 Liberty St., Templeton, died Wednesday, April 13, 2011 in the Heywood Hospital, Gardner, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Otter River, MA, on June 23, 1918, the daughter of the late Stanley and the late Antonia (Bogdanski) Yackowski and was a lifelong resident. She was educated in Templeton.
She worked at Ray Plastics and was a house-keeper. She was a communicant of St. Martin's Church. She enjoyed bingo, going to the casinos, knitting, crocheting and doing jigsaw puzzles.
She leaves one daughter: Janice Lefebvre and her husband Philip of Baldwinville, two sons: John C. Lis of Otter River, James P. Lis of Otter River, one sister: Hannah Given of Baldwinville; one brother: Chester Yackowski of Baldwinville; many nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and grand nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years John C. Lis who died in 1986, one brother Alexander Yackowski and one sister Stella Prevost.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 16th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Martin Church, 247 State Road, Otter River. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2011 in the Poliks Funeral Home, 431 Pleasant St., Gardner, MA 0-1440.
