Gardner- Janet D. (Jones) MacDonald, 81, of 121 Blanchard Street, Gardner, passed away at home on Friday, July 27, 2012 unexpectedly. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Fanny Jones. Janet was a homemaker for most of her life living in the Athol, Springfield and finally the Gardner area. She was married to the late Earle MacDonald for 33 years before his passing in1991. Janet leaves behind her three daughters Judith Schnopp and her husband Robert, of Westfield, Jill Robinson, of Gardner, Joanne Taylor and her husband William, of West Springfield, four grandchildren Brittany Robinson, Ryan Schnopp, Nicholas Robinson, and Sean Schnopp, Four step-grandchildren, and four step-great grandchildren. Janet also leaves behind her sisters Eleanor Moore and her husband Paul, of Springfield, Carolyn Monette and her husband Robert of Athol, as well as her sister-in-laws Margaret  Jandris, of Gardner, Eloise (Betty) Carlson, of Pennsylvania, and Rosemary and her husband James Raymond, of Gardner. Calling hours will be Wednesday August 1, 2012 from 11:00am- 12:00pm with a Memorial Service following at 12:00pm in the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Cancer Society 125 South Huntington Ave. Boston, MA 02130, The Shriners Hospital for Children 516 Crew Street, Springfield, MA 01104 or to an organization of one’s choice.               Fiske-Murphy & Mack funeral Home 1356 Main Street, Athol is directing arrangements.
