Janet M. Whaley

ATHOL - Janet M. (Vorce) Whaley, 63, of 128 Rich Place, Athol, died Thursday, February 11, 2010 at home after an illness. She was born in Orange on October 19, 1946, the daughter of the late Harry E. and the late Lydia M. (Hayes) Vorce. Janet was a lifelong resident of Athol and attended local schools. She worked as a nurses aid at Applewood Nursing Home for many years. She enjoyed watching movies, dancing and music. Janet especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She leaves two sons, Harry Whaley and his wife Andrea, Robert Whaley, Jr., all of Athol; two sisters, Virginia Whitten of Weare, NH, Nancy Parsons of Erving; four grandchildren, Nathan Whaley and Matthew Whaley both of Athol, Sean Whaley of Cape Cod, Robert Whaley, III of NC, four nephews, Scott Whitten of Orange, Roy Fiske of Winchester, NH, James Fiske of Hindsdale, NH, Hank Fiske of Erving, two nieces, Lisa Wilber of Weare, NH, Dori Fiske of Wendell. Burial in Highland Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
