Janet Lois Wilson

ATHOL - Janet Lois Wilson, age 91, of Athol died Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Applewood Senior Living Center. Janet was born October 4, 1925 in Athol. She is the daughter of the late Phillip R. and the late Lillian A. Thayer. Janet grew up in Athol and graduated from Athol High School in 1943. She was employed at 1st National Bank where she worked as a teller, L.S. Starrett Company, and Judge Plotkin. She also completed tax preparation for many local businesses. She enjoyed painting, gardening, especially house plants, embroidery and traveling. She is survived by her husband of seventy years: Howard M. Wilson; two nieces, Dorothy (Wilson) Lefebvre of Athol, and Darlene (Wilson) McNeice of Virginia Beach, VA; one nephew, David Wilson of Port Charlotte, FL, and several great nieces and great nephews including Richelle (Lefebvre) Stacy, Heather (McNeice) Moorehead and Michael Wilson. She is predeceased by her Brother, Alan Thayer, and brother-in-law, Herbert Wilson. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 10, 2016 in Highland Cemetery, Hillside Terrace, Athol, with Rev. Mark Bariloni officiating.
