GARDNER – Jason Lee Poultney, 47, of 101 Ken Drive, Gardner died Saturday, August 04, 2012, in the Legends Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Gardner.
He was born in Gardner on April 16, 1965 the son of Donald E. and Sally N. (Pierce) Poultney. He grew up in Gardner and graduated from Gardner High School in 1983. He went on to graduate from Marietta College in Ohio.
Jason worked for the Gardner House of Corrections for 16 years as a boiler technician.
Jason was a reserved quiet man; he enjoyed the theatre and spending time with his daughter Elizabeth.
He leaves his daughter, Elizabeth Poultney and her mother Renee Vaillancourt; his parents, Donald and Sally Poultney; a sister, Rae Ann Snyder; four nieces and nephews, Nicholas Snyder, Kelsey Snyder, Brianna Snyder, Tyler Specht; one great niece, Sophia Snyder and one great nephew, Brayden Snyder.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the Mack Funeral Home, 91 Vernon St., Gardner. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Templeton.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2012 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society – New England Division Office, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
