Jean Claude Bourdages

ATHOL:  Jean Claude Bourdages, 71 of 267 Bearsden Road, Athol, died Saturday, November 19, 2011 in the St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester. He was born in Canada, on February 7, 1940, the son of Adorice and Blanche (LeBlanc) Bourdages. He moved to the United States from Canada in 1962. He worked and lived in Gardner prior to moving to Athol in 1979. He worked as a carpenter for several years and went on to work for the L.S. Starrett Company for 20 years as a sandblaster.  He was a communicant of Our Lady Immaculate Church and he enjoyed woodworking. He leaves his wife of 41 years, Sandra J. (Droney) Bourdages; one daughter, Michelle A. Bourdages of Athol; his mother Blanche Bourdages of Canada; three sisters: Nicole Richards of Baldwinville, Muriel Anderson and her husband Darrel of Canada, Marge Richard and her husband France of Athol; three brothers: Jean Yves Bourdages and his wife Claudette of Canada, Aurel Bourdages and his wife Yvonne of Templeton, Marcel Bourdages of Canada; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Jean Guy Bourdages, Serge Bourdages, Roger Bourdages, and by a sister, Hugette Bourdages. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery. A calling hour will be held Wednesday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Road, Orange. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol, MA 01331.   $(document).ready(function(){ });
