Jeannette C (Desilets) Isabelle

  Leominster- Jeannette C. (Desilets) Isabelle, 92, Of Leominster, Passed away peacefully on Sunday October 21, 2012 surrounded by her loving family at the Life Care Center of Leominster. She was born on March 5, 1920 in St. Angele, Canada to the late Eric and Blanche (Hebert) Desilets. Jeannette enjoyed cooking, sewing, and spending time with her one grandchild. She was a lifetime member of St. Cecilia’s Church, Ladies of St. Anne, and enjoyed volunteering at St. Cecilia’s bingo. She worked for the former Cluet and Peabody Shirt Co. for 23 years, then helped her husband Edward with the “Dad’s Round Up” Restaurant that they owned in Leominster and later was a cook at the St. Cecilia’s Rectory for 20 years. Jeannette leaves behind her son Michael Isabelle and his wife Theresa of Leominster, one grandchild Julianna Isabelle of Leominster, one brother Aime Desilets of Leominster, three sisters Gilberte Desilets, also known as Sister Cecilia Desilets, Fernande Desilets, and Jacqueline Mills. She was pre-deceased by her husband Edward Isabelle who passed away in 1986, five brothers Roger, Fernand, Robert, Henry, and Jean-Jacques, also known as Brother Michael, O.C.S.O., three sisters Jeanne Roberge, Alice Vigneault, and Blanche Desilets. Calling hours will be held from the Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker Street, Leominster, MA on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 5:00pm-8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 10:00am at St. Cecilia’s Church, 168 Mechanic Street, Leominster, MA. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia’s Cemetery, Leominster, MA.
