LEOMINSTER - Jeannette L. (David) Martin, 76 of 161 Union St., Leominster, died Thursday, March 19, 2009 in the St. Vincent's Hospital, Worcester. She was born in Canada, on October 21, 1932, the daughter of the late Origine and the late Rosemma (Gravel) David. Mrs. Martin grew up in Canada and attended schools in Canada. She moved to Vermont in 1955 and lived there for nine years. She then moved to Massachusetts, and has resided in the Leominster area since 1964. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Church in Leominster. Mrs. Martin kept in touch with her friends and family from Canada over the years. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family. She leaves seven daughters, Diane Orne, Carmen Labree, Marielle Beaudoin, Mary Jane Mello, all of Leominster, Cecile Martineau of Keene, NH, Elaine Brenn of Gardner, Lise McKay of Akron, NY; four sons, Larry Martin of Holden, Roland Martin of Westminster, David Martin of Leominster, Daniel Martin of Rindge, NH; four sisters, Rita Boisse, Claire Bouthelette, Clemence David, all of Canada, Rachael Robitaille of Vermont; five brothers, Robert David, Rene David, Leonard David, Leopold David, James David, all of Canada; twenty grandchildren, twenty six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerard J. Martin who died 1974; by her daughter, Nicole Conforti who died in 2003; by four brothers, Victor David, Gerard David, Gillis David, and Sylvio David. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Cecilia's Church, 180 Mechanic Street, Leominster. Those attending the Mass are asked to go directly to the church. Burial in St. Cecilia's Cemetery will be private. Calling hours will be held Monday, March 23, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. $(document).ready(function(){ });
