Jeannette M. Raisanen

WINCHENDON - Jeannette M. (Biron) Raisanen, 91, formerly of 157 Gardner Rd., Winchendon, died Monday, June 22, 2009 at the Heywood Hospital in Gardner. She was born in Gardner on March 13, 1918, the daughter of Alfred J. and Laura (St. Pierre) Biron. Mrs. Raisanen was a long-time resident of Gardner and attended Our Lady of the Holy Rosary School and Gardner High School. She was a homemaker for most of her life and also worked as a Secretary for Simplex Time Recorder. Mrs. Raisanen was a member of Sacred Heart Church. She loved eating ice cream and dining out. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially during the holidays. She leaves one daughter, Denise M. Ducharme of Gardner; two sons, Gerald S. Raisanen and his wife Diane of Barnstable, Carl F. Raisanen and his wife Denise of Exeter, NH; one sister, Geraldine Goguen of Holiday, Florida; three grandchildren, Erik, Kristin, and Kurt. She was predeceased by her husband of sixty years, Jack S. Raisanen on October 22, 2003; by her brother, Henry Biron; and by two sisters, Irene Gettens and Anita Kulvet. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Church, 166 Cross St., Gardner. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Gardner. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and also on Thursday morning from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the Mack Funeral Home, 91 Vernon St., Gardner. $(document).ready(function(){ });
