Jeffrey Alexander Williams, 20, of Athol, born July 18, 1994, passed away Sunday, May 17, in Long Beach California after a long battle with addiction.
He leaves behind his loving family, his father Keith W. Williams and his mother Nancy Carroll-Williams, his sister Meghan K. Williams, her partner Eric S. Chouinard, his loyal dog Daisy, his brother Brian Bruso and his wife Brianne, all of Athol. He leaves behind his grandmother, Barbara Carroll Niemi of Gardner. Jeffrey also leaves behind several aunts and uncles; Chris Williams and his wife Barbara of Pojoaque, New Mexico, Scott Williams of East Hampton, Joyce and her husband Jim Fletcher of Gardner, James and his wife Karen Carroll of Tenants Harbor, ME, Lynn Carroll of Gardner, as well as William and Alicia Carroll of Hollywood Hills, CA. Jeffrey also leaves behind his long time nanny, Jacqueline Germain of Dudley, many cousins and a large extended family. He leaves many friends, including two very special ones; Thomas Patient and Samantha Ellison of Athol.
Jeffrey graduated from Athol High School in 2012 where he enjoyed football, soccer, baseball, and wrestling. After high school Jeffrey attended Bridgewater State University where he majored in International Marketing. Jeffrey enjoyed snowmobiling, snowboarding, water sports, hiking, yoga, traveling, meditation and being in nature. He was a great writer, enjoyed helping people and had a great love for music as he attended festivals and concerts often. Jeffrey was a very kind soul, his bright sparkling eyes and beautiful smile could light up a room. Jeffrey will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His family will continue to advocate for addiction awareness in order to keep his legacy alive.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 4th, from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M., and the funeral will be Friday, June 5th, at 12:00 P.M. Both the calling hours and the funeral will be held at The Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange, MA.
