ATHOL – Jeffrey Dean Gordon, age 49, a long standing resident of Athol, passed away unexpectedly on May 19, 2017. He was the son of Idella Mae (Dingman) Gordon and Douglas Gordon of Athol, and the step son of Elwyn Johnson of Wendall.
He was honored with his GED and moved forward with his mason license. He worked as a mason for several years within the community. In his younger years Jeffrey enjoyed his NASCAR, fishing, collecting and trading antiques, playing cards, auctions, and spending time with family and friends.
He leaves behind 10 sisters and 4 brothers: Sheila Kenny of Greenfield, Hope Bernard of Friendsville, TN, Anita Gordon of Athol, Douglas Gordon, Jr. of Orange, Andrea Harris of New Salem, Tracy Bigwood of Athol, Michael Gordon of Athol, Jay Gordon of Orange, Audrey Leguizamo of Florida, Diane Fortes of Orange, Ravin Griffith of Athol, Oleda Newcombe of Athol, Dean Gordon of Winchester, NH and Denise Gordon of Swanzey, NH. He also leaves behind 16 nephews, 16 nieces, 2 great nieces and two great nephews. He also leaves behind 4 dogs he loved dearly, especially his best friend Memphis, Minnie, Puggy, and Princess.
A graveside service will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday, June 5, 2017, at Silver Lake Cemetery.
