ATHOL - Jeffrey D. Swan, 40 of 1000 Willis Road, Athol, died Monday, February 16, 2009 in the Athol Memorial Hospital, Athol. He was born in Athol, on January 14, 1969, the son of Walter A. Swan, Jr. and Peggy J. (Cook) Swan. Jeff grew up in Athol and was educated in Athol. He was employed in the housekeeping department at Athol Memorial Hospital for the past 22 years. He was a member of the Franco American Naturalization Club in Athol and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He leaves his wife, April V.(Powell) Swan, one daughter, Sonya M. Swan of Athol; one son, Jeffrey D. Swan, Jr. of Athol; his mother, Peggy J. Swan and her companion Michael Pierson of Phillipston; his father, Walter A. Swan and his companion Susan Geedy of Athol; his maternal grandparents, George and Donna Cook of Athol; one sister, Terry A. Mikulskis and her husband Leonard of Wendell; a grandson, Dominic A. Guimond Swan of Athol; a granddaughter, Alexis S. Guimond Swan of Athol; his close friends, Sabrina "Red" Kuchta; Mary Sullivan and Jimmy McCrory; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and several in-laws. We would like to thank Kevin and Keith Swan for the benefit they sponsored for their cousin Jeff at his time of need. Calling hours will be held Saturday. February 21, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fiske Funeral Home 1356 Main St., Athol. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, February 22, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the Franco American Naturalization Club 592 South St., Athol.
