Jennie Barrieau

BALDWINVILLE - Jennie (Scarpa) Barrieau died October 2, 2018, after a long illness. She was born January 4, 1931, in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Sardinian immigrants Bernardo Scarpa and Sebastiana Arcadu. She was a member of the former Mother Guild at Sacred Heart Church and a graduate of Gardner High School with the class of 1948. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Roger J. Barrieau (2005) and son Rock Barrieau (2017). She leaves her sons and her daughters in law, Mark & Christine Barrieau of Baldwinville, daughter in law Lynn Barrieau (Rock), of Ashburnham, Matthew Barrieau of Athol, Andrew and Lori Barrieau of Mequon, WI, and Daniel and Kelli Barrieau of Ludlow. She is also survived by: Seven grandchildren: JP (Meredith) Barrieau, Christopher (Amy) Barrieau, Lisa Barrieau, Zachary Barrieau, Gina Barrieau, Ethan Barrieau and Kathryn Nutting. Three great-grandchildren: Luke Barrieau, Alexander Barrieau and Colin Barrieau. Her brother, Anthony Scarpa, of Connecticut. Many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11 a.m. in Holy Spirit Church, 50 Lovewell St., Gardner. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Gardner. A calling hour will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 from 9 - 10:15 a.m. in the Mack Family Funeral Home 105 Central St., Gardner. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Instead, memorial donations to Alliance Health at Baldwinville, Resident Activity Fund, 51 Hospital Road, Baldwinville, MA 01436, would be appreciated.
